Do Not Argue, Do not be Ashamed. Walk in Righteousness.

The Eyes of the Lord are on the Righteous

2 Tim 2:14-16
Remind them of these things, and charge them before God not to quarrel about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers. 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”

Through your walk today, hold firm to truth and righteousness. To present yourself as one approved, refers to one who is approved after being tested. If you are being tested by others, refuse to engage in arguments or debates which will only add to grief and your weakened spirituality. If you are being tested by God, rejoice that He reminds you that He is with you during your tribulations and suffering.

How strong of a person one must be to walk away from frustrating situations or people. Carry peace in your heart and lead by example. Remember that you are a child of God and the devil is lurking like a lion, ready to devour the Lord’s sheep. Ask yourself, “Will this lead to anything good, or do I just want to have my say and get it off my chest?” Many people today believe that stating their case and proving their point is what makes them a leader or some sort of winner in battle. On the contrary, the very nature of such can lead one away from God, and even hurt their spirituality after anger sets in like a seed and continues to grow. There is no righteousness is strife. There is only righteousness in faith.

do not argue

Rightly handle the Word of truth. Do not argue. Keep bible principles in mind. Ask for strength in adversity when dealing with people who may test your patience. A spirit of meekness is not an indication of weakness. It is in fact, an indication of strength which only the Lord Himself can provide to us amidst our suffering. In all things, walk in righteousness.

Rom 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith”

Strive not to be a leader or a winner here on earth, but rather keep your focus on eternity in paradise with our Lord and Savior. Be obedient to the Word of the risen Christ, and hold faith in the blessings to come.
