Silent No More: Warriors For Christ in the End Times
The time has come for Christians around the world to ready for the war for souls. The uprising has begun and we need to guard ourselves, and prepare for Christ’s coming now more than ever.
We have been given admonition from scripture in Matthew 24, to be on the watch in the end times. There seems to be no disagreement in the circle of Christ’s followers: we are in the last days.
We must put on our Christian suits of armor and be prepared to wage war against the dark forces of Satan. This means standing our ground and speaking up for the Lord, spreading the gospel as far as we can reach, and speaking against the Satanic forces that have arisen against us. We must also do as much as possible to strengthen our faith in Christ, and advance our relationship with Him daily.
How to Prepare in the Fight for Christ
First, we must prepare ourselves through the expectations of what we will be faced with in the end times:
There Will Be Scoffers
There will be those who do not believe that our Lord is coming. They may be unbelievers, or “once-believers” who left the faith. They may say, “There is no Jesus coming. We’re tired of hearing it!” Stand firm and do not let your faith be shaken. The enemies of Christ will do anything to try to strip faith from believers. Watch for signs.
2 Peter 3:3-4 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
There Will Be Increasing Evil & Sin
We have never seen the state of evil across the world as we are seeing now. Predominantly, the threats by enemies of Christ have shaken the nations to the core in disbelief. Even those who are not outwardly proclaiming Christ, are asking, “When will it end? What is happening to this world?” Sin is running rampant in the end times. As messengers of Truth, we should not be surprised at the hatred toward God, blatant defiance of Christian values, violence, riots, theft, murders and increasing crime, rebellion against authority, addictions, gross sexual practices, threats of destruction, and love turned cold. We cannot be shocked, as these things were all foretold. If you are struggling with sin, turn to Christ, lay out your struggles, and pray for deliverance from evil.
2 Tim 3:1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
Apostasy
We are seeing the increase of unbelievers and evildoers who have hatred and loathing toward our Savior. Many self proclaimed atheists know He is very real; promising of His vengeance to come, and they will refuse the outward call of Christians to turn to Jesus. They denounce Truth, as they spiral into the whirlwind of lies and self denial. They reject all that Christ had offered freely. They are in the confines of pure evil. We must make an effort to spread the Word anyway, and not lose hope. At any time, an unbeliever can come to Christ. You can share this message with an atheist.
Arm Yourself With Truth
Matthew 24:1-37 speaks of the end times.
It goes without saying that you may be tested more than before in the last days. We know that when the enemy attacks, he does so with no respect to limits or boundaries. We may feel we are constantly facing struggles such as anxiety, anger, resentment, and depression. Use caution and treat yourself kindly. Remember, we expected these things to happen, and all is going exactly the way our Lord said. So draw close. Study the Word. Remember that if you are chosen from the foundation of the world, you have been sealed, and you have eternal security in Christ.
Be Bold
We who are in Christ must never cower to the pressures of society. We must not conform, and we must not have shame in professing Jesus Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. This means we must stand on our own testimonies, and be bold with our conviction. Remember why we are doing what we’re doing: to glorify and give honor to God.
In your daily life, if you see someone walking along, why not say, “God’s grace to you,” and wish them a blessed day. Why not use social media for good with a post like, “It is a time when so many struggle. I pray that the Lord comes quickly to the rescue of anyone facing hardships. Remember your prayer today!”
Drop your messages of hope, Truth and redemption in Christ, wherever possible. Be bold. You are a warrior for Christ. You will be persecuted, as Christ was. A warrior never fought by being silent. We must be silent no more. But we must remain patient.
James 5:8 You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
Take Time For Rest
Take some time for rest and appreciate peace. Turn off social media and the news. Meditate on the things of heaven. Remember to take in life’s finer gifts, such as seeing the beauty in the birds singing, watching a graceful swan, dipping your toes in a lake, admiring a sunset, enjoying a cup of tea and reading scripture, watching wholesome television, or even watching Bible movies on youtube. What a wonderful reminder that the Lord gave us a choice to take time to appreciate His blessings. Don’t forget that this life was not given to us merely to stress over. We can make a conscious decision to remove stressful things when it’s within our power to do so.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. – Romans 12:2
Remember Your Assurance
We must remember, brothers and sisters; We are one in Christ. If we should be worried about our salvation at any time, we should remember the desires of our hearts. We cry out for assurance of our salvation. Take a few moments to watch this video:
